Who are we?
It's always a tricky thing to talk about yourself. Either you exaggerate excessively and glorify yourself in every statement or you express disproportionate modesty. This is an attempt to avoid both extremes and to give a clear and transparent picture of us, the founders of CAO - lifestyle for pets.
Who do I want to be?
Escaping the monotony and dreariness of everyday life: that was Aylin's long-held wish. As a franchise partner of a car rental company, it felt right and good at the beginning, because in the end it made money and that was the main thing. But over time, her focus on the essentials changed. She wanted more - not more money, but more perfection, more meaning in life, a goal that was worth striving for. She has always loved animals. From childhood to adulthood, she has always had unconditionally loving companions, from guinea pigs to cats and dogs. The conviction that the soul of an animal can heal the soul of a person and vice versa led her to an idea that has stayed with her ever since. Her idea was simple, but no less important for that: one day she would set up an animal shelter for street dogs and open a children's home right next door for restless children plagued by fate. The animals would brighten up the children's lives and remove some of the sadness from their souls. She was aware that it was an ambitious goal, but she knew from the very first moment - she would do everything she could to get there. However, it was necessary to set up a successful business to ensure that such a goal would remain in place for many years. Some business opportunities arose, but she was never really convinced and it never became a reality. Until the day she met a young gentleman by chance, with whom, little did she know at the time, everything would change.
Breaking the chains
Özkan was employed as a sales manager in a medium-sized company. A classic 9/5 jobber you would say, but his days felt endless and he was unable to put aside the thoughts of "not being free" after work. He had wanted his own business for ages, but nevertheless decided to take advantage of the security that such an employment relationship brought. Somehow his studies had paid off and he found a job that paid off. Even if he didn't really enjoy the job, he knew he had to bring his internalized values such as loyalty and hard work with him. So he drove to his workplace day in, day out with a sinking feeling in his stomach. He knew he had to take off the cloak of security and finally pursue his dream. But which idea should he put into practice? Fate takes some strange paths and so it was a combination of, let's call it luck and mystical circumstances that he met Coco.
Coco
The French bulldog Coco, born in 2011, was actually quite happy with her life. Aylin cared for her with the utmost attention and gave her love, which for many observers was no longer in the realm of the normal. Long walks through the forest, trips to the lake and, of course, the daily stick throwing at any time of year brought a lot of fun and variety into her life. But her favorite days were the cuddly days when she lay on the bed with Aylin and let the whole day pass by.
The farewell
And one day he was there. Özkan, a stranger at first, who came out of nowhere and unexpectedly. She seemed to sense that he had had no previous contact with dogs, but she quickly won him over with her charm. The three of them spent a long time together until one day Coco began to lose her appetite. In a relatively short time, she was severely weakened by an immune disorder. Countless visits to the vet brought only temporary improvements until one night, due to an acute lack of breathing, she decided to say goodbye on the way to the veterinary clinic.
CAO - lifestyle for pets
Looking back on a full and free life, with her way of coziness and finding the best place in every room, she inspired and infected Aylin and Özkan with an idea that will make waves long after her death.
